History
System2 Consulting was founded by Aaron Lapsley, a career engineer, management consultant and technology leader in real estate and facilities, with a simple premise in mind. Buildings are evolving along with the rest of the world, with the expectation that they support and incorporate modern digital infrastructure. Yet, professional firms are increasingly static, entrenched in standard processes and unable to deliver a full range of expert services for clients.
Enter System2. Our practice seeks to provide a higher-value, holistic solution to clients, who comprise the leading designers, owners, operators and managers of built environments. Our core competencies include analysis and design, commissioning and optimization, indoor air quality and energy focused projects… and we also have a deep expertise in the digital infrastructure of buildings and how it unlocks efficient operations and outstanding experiences.
System2 puts these guiding principles into action:
Improve the user experience and health of building occupants.
Understand that physical spaces directly affect peoples’ lives, in seen and unseen ways.
Focus on the whole building lifecycle.
Acknowledge the bigger picture and take a portfolio view whenever possible.
Apply practical expertise in the modern technologies that enable and manage building performance.
Believe in the power of data, and make it available and useful to those that can benefit from it.
Make buildings work like they should for the benefit of all stakeholders.
