ENGINEERED BUILDING SYSTEMS (MEP)
Building systems, mechanical HVAC equipment, energy infrastructure, code requirements and supporting technology are increasingly complex and interdependent. This all too often results in installed systems that are difficult for operators to use and ultimately do not operate according to the design intent. Few engineers are paying attention to this. System2 designs systems for operation and to maximize ROI over a building's lifecycle.
AUTOMATION, metering & sensors
Buildings today require operational technology. Whether it's a new system design, adding meters, an upgrade to an existing BMS/BAS or a new IoT product, proper engineering will save cost, lower risk and improve ROI. This has been an area of weakness and oversight by traditional engineering firms for too long. System2 knows digital infrastructure, “OT” and the IoT, including leading practices and common pitfalls.
Indoor air quality
There has been a major shift of awareness to indoor air quality (IAQ) and the effects of ventilation and filtration on human health and performance.
